FHS Student Choice Day has ended

On Friday March 3, Fishers High School will offer Student Choice Day. You will sign up for teacher-designed sessions based on needs or interests you have communicated or interests and expertise teachers have but do not always get to teach in their courses.  All sessions have a curricular connections but the flexibility of the day allows for more in-depth learning and topics not always addressed. Attendance will be taken in each session.  You will be assigned a lunch.

To Register:

  • View this quick video on how to sign up, log in, and use Sched.

  • To Create your Sched account, Click ’Sign Up’ (upper right). Sign Up with your Student HSE school email. In case you have forgotten, the username is likely what you use to log into the network here at school or Skyward. It is likely formatted as:

    • Up to 5 letters of your last name, 3 letters of your first name, Three Zeros (OOO), then @hsestudents.org

  • If you do not know your HSE School Email, your SMaRT Period teacher can look it up in Skyward or you can check with the Guidance Department.

  • After your account is created, log in and click bubbles to choose your sessions:

  • In Sched, you can choose your view by changing the drop down option under ’Schedule’.  Simple shows titles - hover over title to see details in a pop out window.  Expanded shows titles + details for every session.  Grid shows the sessions in blocks, so you can check for overlapping times.

  • You can choose from 1, 2, or 3 hour sessions and could have anywhere from 2-5 sessions.

  • Click a bubble to ’uncheck’ if you need to withdraw from the session at any time - this will open your seat to others.

  • Courses have limited seats available.

  • Your SMaRT period teacher will make sure you have a complete schedule for the day.

  • Should you not create a schedule, one will be assigned to you but you will miss your opportunity to choose sessions.
